英语经典句式学习_动词句式 happen + to do sth.

　　与be said + to do一样，happen to do也可以转换为it作形式主语，that从句作实际主语的句式。

　　可以用于该句式的动词还有：chance, seem, appear, prove, turn out等

　　例如：

　　The old man who had come to her help turned out to be blind.

　　= It turned out that the old man who had come to her help was blind.

　　The morning sun appeares to be larger than the sun at noon.

　　= It appeares that the morning sun is larger than the sun at noon.

　　His rivals(对手)proved (to be) too strong for him.

　　= It proved that his rivals were too strong for him.

　　与该句式相类似的，还有两个形容词句式：

　　A. be likely /sure /certain to do sth.

　　= It is likely /possible /probable /certain that ...

　　值得注意的是：sure不能用于it作形式主语的句子，而possible, probable只能用于it作形式主语的句子中。

　　例如：

　　1. Our football team is likely to win this time. (不能用possible, probable)

　　= It is likely /possible /probable that our football team will win this time.

　　2. You are certain /sure to have their support.

　　= It is certain that you will have their their support. (不能用sure)

　　B. sth. is /was easy to do

　　= it is /was easy to do sth. (注意，是不定式作实际主语，而非that从句)

　　可以用于该句式的形容词还有：difficult, hard, nice, comfortable, pleasant, convenient等。不定式动词必须是及物动词或不及物动词+介词;不定式一律用主动式。

　　例如：

　　1. The house is comfortable to live in.

　　= It is comfortable to live in the house.

　　2. He is difficult to deal with.

　　= It is difficult to deal with him.
