　　Maria and Mike had started exercising a week ago. As part of their plan to lose weight, they decided to start eating at home more often. That meant no more eating out more than once a week. Maria came up with this idea and was fully committed to see it through. Mike was not as motivated as Maria was, but he went along for the ride anyways.

　　玛丽亚和迈克已经开始锻炼一周了。作为他们减肥计划的一部分，他们决定要经常在家里吃饭，这意味着在外面吃饭的次数一周不可以超过一次。玛丽亚想出了这个主意，并完全坚定的想实现它。迈克没有像玛丽亚一样的动力，但不管怎么他也得继续下去。

　　Mike and Maria usually ate out on the weekend. This weekend was going to be different. Maria had gone to the super market and bought food to cook at home. Tonight she was making grilled chicken with vegetables. Mike was in mood for eating something else but was hesitant to tell Maria. He did now want ruin Maria's dinner plans to cook at home. He decided to secretly step out of the apartment for fifteen minutes to go out and buy the food he was craving.

　　迈克和玛丽亚周末通常都在外面吃饭，但这个周末将是不同的。玛丽亚已经去超市买菜决定在家做饭。今晚她要做烤鸡肉和蔬菜。迈克没有心情吃别的东西，但却不敢告诉玛丽亚，他现在想破坏掉在家里做晚餐计划。他决定悄悄地出去十五分钟，去买他想吃的食物。

　　He peeked into the kitchen and noticed Maria preparing the vegetables.Maria somehow felt his eyes on her and turned around at Mike who was hiding behind the wall. "Mike, are you spying on me? What are you up to?" she asked. "Nothing! I just wanted to see if you were still in the kitchen," he answered. Maria soon suspected what he was up to.

　　然后他走进厨房，看到玛丽亚准备蔬菜。玛丽亚感到她的身后有双眼睛，然后转过身到躲在墙后面的迈克身旁。“迈克，你在监视我？你要干什么？”她问。“没有什么!我只是想看看你是否还在厨房里。”他回答说。玛丽亚很快就怀疑他动机不纯。

　　"You were trying to sneak off, weren't you? You want to go eat out, don't you?" she asked. Mike could not tell a lie to Maria. He confessed his intentions and apologized. "Mike, I need you to do this with me," Maria said to him. Mike agreed to change his diet, and sat down to wait for the home cooked meal.

　　“你想偷偷溜走，不是吗？你想出去吃饭，不是吗？”她问。迈克不能对玛丽亚说谎。他坦白了自己的意图，并向他道歉。“迈克，我需要你和我一起去行动。”玛丽亚说。迈克同意了，乖乖的坐下来等待家常饭。
