Sara's Upset Stomach
Sara needed to see the doctor.
萨拉需要看医生。
She had an upset stomach.
她肚子不舒服。
She felt bloated, and needed to pass gas every minute or so.
她感觉胀胀的，大约每分钟就要放个屁。
This was terrible.
这很糟糕。
She couldn’t go anywhere in public.
她不能去任何公共场所。
Her friends told her it was because she had moved to America.
她的朋友们告诉她这是因为她搬到美国了。
The air, water, and food in America weren’t agreeing with her.
美国的空气、水和食物都不适合她。
They said she would have to return to her home country.
他们说她不得不回她祖国。
"No way," Sara said.
萨拉说：“没门。”
She didn’t want to go home.
她不想回家。
She liked America.
她喜欢美国。
This was a minor problem, she was sure.
她确信这是个小问题。
Any good doctor would solve it in no time.
任何好医生都会立刻解决它的。
Two days later, she saw her doctor.
两天后，她来看医生了。
He asked her if she drank milk.
他问她有没有喝过牛奶。
She said yes, three glasses a day.
她说喝过，一天三瓶。
“Don’t drink any more regular milk. Start drinking lactose-free milk, because lactose can upset your stomach."
“别再喝常规牛奶了。开始喝无乳糖的牛奶，因为乳糖会使你肚子不舒服。”
Then he asked her if there were any big problems in her life.
然后他问她，在她生活中有没有什么棘手的难题。
She said that her boyfriend was a big problem.
她说她男朋友有个难题。
He wanted to get married, but she didn’t.
他想结婚，但是她不想。
The doctor said that she should find another boyfriend.
医生说她应该再找个男朋友。
"Why?" Sara asked.
萨拉问：“为什么?”
"Because your boyfriend is giving you too much stress. He is probably the main cause of your upset stomach."
“因为你男朋友给你太多压力了。他可能是造成你肚子不舒服的主要原因。”
"I don’t think my boyfriend is going to like that."
“我不认为我男朋友会喜欢这样做。”
"Just tell him if he really loves you, he should leave you."
“只告诉他，如果他真的爱你，他应该离开你。”
重点知识讲解
本文中出现了几个宾语从句：
1.Her friends told her it was because she had moved to America.
她的朋友们告诉她这是因为她搬到美国了。
2.He asked her if she drank milk. 他问她有没有喝过牛奶。
3.The doctor said that she should find another boyfriend.
医生说她应该再找个男朋友。
宾语从句是中考必考的重难点句型，通常考察的是引导词、句型和时态三个要素。
宾语从句就是放在及物动词、介词或复合谓语之后的从句。我们初中阶段通常涉及到的就是动词的宾语从句。值得注意的是，当主句用了过去的时态，从句通常也要变成该从句对应的过去时态，当然也有特例哦。
