董永与七仙女
in the han dynasty in qiancheng lived a man by the name of dong yong. his mother died when he was a child. while living with his father, he worked hard in the fields. each time they went out, he would put his old father on a small cart and follow it on foot. when his father died, he was willing to sell himself into slavery for a little money for the funeral. knowing that he was a virtuous man, his master gave him ten thousand coins and allowed him to go home.
dong was in mourning for three years. when it was over, he decided to return to his master to work as a slave. on his way he met a woman who said to him, "i am willing to marry you." so they went together to his master. "i have given you money," the master said to him. "thanks to your generous help," dong said, "i was able to bury my father. although i am a man of low birth, i know i ought to work for you to repay your kindness." then the master asked, "what is your wife good at?" "she can weave," dong answered. "if you insist on doing something for me," said the master. "please ask your wife to weave a hundred bolts of fine silk for me." dong's wife set to work in the master's house. ten days later the hundred bolts were ready.when she came out, she said to dong, "i am a weaver in heaven. the emperor of heaven ordered me to help you pay your debt because he was moved by your filial piety." after saying these words she flew into the sky and vanished.
七仙女，传说是玉皇大帝的第七个女儿，她最心灵手巧，且心地十分善良。一天，七仙女得知丹阳境内有一年轻人姓董名永，因家贫无钱安葬死去的父亲，只得卖身为奴。七姐深受感动，私下天庭与董永结百年之好，在大槐树下成就姻缘。可惜作媒人的大槐树一时高兴，把"百年好合"说成"百天好合"，害得董永七姐只有百日缘分。七姐用巧手金梭织出了10匹锦绢赎出了董永，准备整治家园恩爱白头。不料玉皇大帝得知十分震怒，急召七姐回宫，七姐不得不忍痛飞去。她的织布校化成了飞梭石，织机留在了人间，人们在夜深人静时仍能听到"咔喳、咔喳"的织机声。每年正月十五的晚上，身着盛装的姑娘聚集在飞梭石旁，手捧针线盒向七姐乞巧，唱乞巧歌。唱完乞巧歌后，还要询问年成好坏、吉凶如何、能否婚嫁等事宜。
如今，安徽天柱山被誉为七仙女在人间的故乡。
河神
When King Zhao of Qin conquered Shu , he appointed Li Bing governor of the area. At that time there in the river was a river deity(河神), who each year demanded two virgins as his wives. One day, the official responsible for the matter came to report to Li, "This time a million copper coins must be collected to buy two women for the deity." "Don't worry," Li Bing comforted him, "I have got girls for him already." When the day came, Li had his two daughters properly dressed, ready to be thrown into the river. He stepped onto the terrace for the ceremony and poured a libation, saying, "Today, I am greatly honoured to become a relation of yours. Please, my River God, come out and honour the occasion with your respected presence, and allow me to propose a toast to you." After saying these words, Li emptied his cup, put it down and waited. The wine in the cup for the deity, however, only stirred a little and remained full to the brim. Flying into a rage at this, Li said in a stern voice, "Since you look down upon me so, I have no choice but to fight you." Li drew out his sword, and the next moment disappeared. Quite a while later, two grey buffaloes were seen fighting on the other side of the river. Soon, Li reappeared, ordering his subordinates to help him, saying, "The buffalo facing south with a white stripe on the middle part of his body is me. That is the ribbon for my seal." Then he disappeared again to go back to his fight. Finally, his chief secretary killed the buffalo facing north. That was the end of the river deity and all the trouble he had caused.
公元前277年，李冰官任蜀郡太守，受命于秦昭王的治水重任。为了追究水患的由来，李冰翻山越岭，迈着艰难的步子去察看了滋江地势，掌握了岷江出高山峡谷后河面开阔，流速顿减的特点，发现了可资修渠的有利地形，并吸取了岷江两岸人民多年来与洪水斗争的经验，终于合理地选择了渠首的位置，因势利导巧妙地布置了都江堰的渠首工程。
"沧桑有变古堰永存，水旱无常清流不息。”李冰治水，功绩千秋。史书记载他的治水事迹："冰乃壅江作堋……于是蜀地千里，号为陆海"。从此，成都平原。旱则引水侵润，雨则杜塞水门，水旱从人，时无荒年，天下谓之天府。古人忘不了李冰，祭祀他的活动极为隆重，"李大守疏江驱龙，有功于西蜀，祠祭甚盛"。
盘古开天

The separation of the sky and the earth took eighteen thousand years-the yang which was light and pure rose to become the sky, and the yin which was heavy and murky sank to form the earth. Between them was Pangu, who went through nine changes every day, his wisdom greater than that of the sky and his ability greater than that of the earth. Every day the sky rose ten feet higher, the earth became ten feet thicker, and Pangu grew ten feet taller. Another eighteen thousand years passed, and there was an extremely high sky, an extremely thick earth, and an extremely tall Pangu. Then came the Three Emperors.
So these numbers came into existence and evolve like this. The numb or begins with one, becomes established at three, is completed at five, prospers at seven, and ends in nine. So the sky is ninety thousand li from the earth.
