雅思口语Part1话题解析:Housework

　　Did you help your parents do housework

　　when you were young?

　　A:

　　Not really. I barely got my hands on household chores when I was young. In fact, I think that they wanted me to focus more on my study rather than to spend time on housework.They always did the laundry, washed the dishes after dinner, and sometimes even made the bed for me! Feeling overwhelmed, I believed I should share some housework, at least those that I could handle on my own.

　　第1句回答问题，给出观点：直截了当，以前基本上都不做家务的。

　　第2句做下合理的解释：我爸妈想我认真学习，就不要我花时间(spend time)在家务活儿上了。focus (on sth) 专注(于某事)

　　第3句给出具体细节，附上一些个人感受：他们会帮我洗衣服(do the laundry)、洗碗(wash the dishes)、还有帮我整理床铺(make the bed)。搞到我都过意不去，所以有时候都帮他们做一些。

　　总结

　　以前曾经看过一本写于1929年的书，叫《A Room of One's Own》(一间自己的房间)，作者是Virginia Woolf (弗吉尼亚·伍尔芙)。书里提到一个观点：“A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction.”(女人要想写小说，必须有钱，再加一间自己的房间)。意思是当时的女性把绝大部分时间都花在了家务活，而基本没有机会去谋求自身的发展，更不用说可以有什么成就了。

　　这话跟今天的主题很像：如果把时间都花在琐事上，那怎么还能干正事? 不可以当一个被家务耽误了的学霸!
