It gradually turns cool. The sunlight is no longer so strong and the cicadas have stopped crying. The hot summer went by at last. The favorite season in the year is coming.
Everywhere we can see the scene of bumper crops: on the fields is golden rice,on the trees are ripe fruits. The farmers faces are full of smiles. They are now expecting a good harvest through a summer's hard work.The autumn evening is especially beautiful. When the setting sun goes slowly down to the west, the sky over the mountains is covered with red rays of evening sunlight, which shines upon the blue sky and floating clouds, just as the maple leaves fall onto the sky.
It is getting cool at dusk. The wind blows, the moonlight shines on the ground,the frogs croak and insects chirp in the fields. Such a situation will make you forget all the unhappy things in the daytime.

It is autumn. The sky is clem and cloudless. The summer heat is gone. The autumn wind brings us cool. At once the version comes to my mind, "Autumn is rich with fruit and grain. " Actually I see pomegranates red and round on the stall in the market and the pcars big, yellow and juicy. My mouth waters for them. The grains have been harvested, the rice, wheat and corn.
The laurel trees give off fragrance. The perfume makes its way stralght into my nose. The brlght red canna are standing behind rows of tall plane trees. I am waiting for their leaves to turn yellow.Then l can trample on the fallen leaves on both sides of the ground.
At times the autumn rain keeps falling silandy on the trees and flowers and the ground. It washes everything clean. When the sun comes out, the droplets shine bright on the yellow leaves.
What a beautiful painting! Autumn is the season for harvest no pains, no gains. I must study hard so that I can have a big harvest in all my subjects.

one day thirty years ago marseilles lay in the burning sun. a blazing sun upon a fierce august day was no greater rarity in southern france then than at any other time before or since. everything in marseilles and about marseilles had stared at the fervid sun, and been stared at in return, until a staring habit had become universal there. strangers were stared out of countenance by staring white houses, staring white streets, staring tracts of arid road, staring hills from which verdure was burnt away. the only things to be seen not fiedly staring and glaring were the vines drooping under their loads of grapes. these did occasionally wink a little,as the hot air barely moved their faint leaves.
the universal stare made the eyes ache. towards the distant blue of the italian coast, indeed, it was a little relieved by light clouds of mist slowly rising from the evaporation of the sea, but it softened nowhere else. far away the staring roads, deep in dust, stared from the hillside, stared from the hollow, stared fi'om the interminable plain. far away the dusty vines overhanging wayside cottages, and the monotonous wayside avenues of parched trees without shade,dropped beneath the stare of earth and sky. so did the horse with drowsy bells, in long files of carts, creeping slowly towards the interior; so did their recumbent drivers, when they were awake, which rarely happened; so did the ehausted laborers in the fields. everything that lived or grew was oppressed by the glare: ecept the lizard, passing swiftly over rough stone walls,and cicada, chirping its dry hot chirp, like a rattle. the very dust was scorched brown, and something quivered in the atmosphere as if the air itself were panting.
blinds, shutters, curtains, awnings, were all closed and drawn to keep out the stare. grant it but a chink or a keyhole,and it shot in like a whitehot arrow.
