孩子什么时候学外语最合适  

孩子到底什么时候开始学外语最合适？这个问题困扰着不少家长朋友们——学早了怕孩子记不住，还怕干扰了汉语的学习；学晚了怕被别的孩子落下。其实，幼儿学外语并非越早越好，我认为6岁左右比较合适。   

早学外语有优势 

知名少儿教育专家、北京教育科学院早期教育研究所所长梁雅珠认为，3-12岁是一个人学习外语的良好时期。 

脑科学的研究成果也表明，人在12岁之前，语音中枢与母语同在右脑；再大一些之后，语音中枢就转到左脑，和右脑的母语分开了。所以，如果家庭、幼儿园可以提供良好的双语环境，老师有良好的语言修养，能正确灵活、创造性地运用英语，早点学习英语对孩子还是有好处的。 

越早越好是误区 

但这并不意味着学外语越早越好。有的家长从孩子学说话时就尝试教孩子外语，有的甚至用英语进行胎教，这样做并不符合教育规律。根据我本人的教学经验，6岁左右是培养语言能力的最佳阶段。 

根据儿童身心发展规律，0到3岁，是母语发展关键期，要尽量避开外语干扰，保证母语的发展能力；3到6岁，是母语发展巩固期，尽量母语优先；6岁左右，孩子可以开始学习适量的外语。但这时引入外语的目的并不是把外语学会了，而是要让孩子感知到世界是多元的，这样对他世界观的形成有个促进作用。具体到您的孩子，什么时候开始学习英语，还要考虑师资条件、教材选择等具体因素。
