Normally school education aims to cultivate students' abilities to learn and think. But more and more people realize that without the cultivation of moral norms and ethics, we can hardly expect a society to be nice enough for leading a harmonious life. As a result, schools should attach more attention to develop students’ character education, such as qualities of honesty and filial piety.

Character education plays an important role in the development of future society. It meets the need of emphasizing and developing the students’ all-round qualities. In the long run, it protects students from being selfish, indifferent, conceited as well as impolite in their daily lives. What's more, it teaches students how to learn efficiently, how to live colourfully, how to do things seriously, for their own future, and also for the future of their motherland.

home education, or home schooling, is a phenomenon which is both old and now. it may seem to many like a strange idea, but years ago, it was the norm. george washington and abraham lincoln both received their education at home. and there is a growing trend for children to be educated at home. an estimated two million american children, one source says, are taught in their own homes instead of going to regular schools. the number of support groups, magazines and other resources for home-schooling families is also on the rise. being comparatively rare cases in china, home schooling is repeatedly reported as an attractive and promising alternative.

parents who decide to home-school are not without reasons. many may worry about the quality of education at regular schools. they want to tailor the education of their children to their intelligence and aptitude. they prefer to choose the subjects on their own. they also think caring parents make the best teachers. studies show that many home-schooled children really do very well.proven benefits of home schooling are obvious. but educating kids at home may not be the right choice for all families. it may not be practical, and dose not constitute an important approach to children education.with computer aided education more and more available and effective, school education has advantages home education can never catch up with. no family has resources which is adequate for modern education. parents, althoug they are most caring, cannot be competent and qualified as trained teachers. a most discouraging fact is that children taught at home and do not go out to schools will develop strange characteristics which will eventually hinder them when they go out to society. they are sure to lack ability and skills to cope with various intricate relationships which cannot not be acquired through home education environment. and they will end up as crippled.

as the matter stands, home education is not so important as to deserve more merit than is already exaggerated.

good moning, ladies and gentlemen. my topic today is educational background should never lose the ability .

talking about the educatinal background and ability, there is one people we can't help thinking up , that is tang jun, who has been regarded as the “king of chinese employees”, but he lost his dream because joye said his educational background is fake . at this moment ,sb said tang is nobody because he is without any educatinal background , however others still said tang is sb because he is within the ability. ladies and gentleman， what do you think? before answer it, i want to ask another questions" why are you sitting here today ? why am i standing here today? for

what ? educatinal background ? ability? i think both of them， every day we work hard for pursuing higher educatinal background directly or indirectly : everyday we experience xhallenges or difficulties to improve our ability consciously or unconsciously. so ,today,i should say , we should own the educational background as well as the ability.

then now , i remenber a few days ago , one of my young sister , who is a freshman in jianghan university , called me and complained to me seriously, “ my headmaster told us to now work as hard as possible to prepare the postgraduate examination for a higher educational background tommorow. on the other side , he advised us to enhance our real ability in practice . what should i do ? how should i deal with it? i was surprised about her complainants. however, after i surfed the internet , i was more shocked. it was reported in an investigation , now there are nearly 40% of graduates who are pure bookworms, only with the educational background , 30%

are practitioners , only with high ability but failed many courses until graduation.

what a extreme! educational background and ability , they are different but they are not conflicted, they are seperated, actually they are unified. in this age of modernization, in this age of competition, eucatinal background should never lose the ability, without educatinal background , tangjun is still a great man for his undoubtedly ability and contributions . we are not mr tang , he is unique in the world . his ability can't be copied, we are the common people , what we should do is to work down to earth .

then one day we can have the key of high educational background to open the door of future, meanwhile , strengthen the ability to stand there highly and respectivly

In my early years, I did not see the value of education.

When I was going on thirteen, I started to run my own shop. From then on, I worked hard to become a successful businessman.

One day I realized the importance of the English language in the business world and started taking night classes.

I was able to communicate well with foreign customers after two years of English study. But I started to feel that, in the long run, having a limited knowledge of English was not enough to make my business successful. I knew that only a well- rounded education could guarantee my success in the future.

When I was eighteen, I had to make a decision to continue doing business or go back to school. There was one obstacle keeping me from getting an advanced education. I had only completed elementary school up to that point. I then went back to senior high school after four months of tutoring in different subjects. Being at school for the first time after so many years was somewhat embarrassing because my classmates were at least two or three years younger than I. I concluded that my age did not matter. The important thing was getting into college.

I took the College Entrance Exams. Although my math exam result was only one point below the required score. I never gave up hope. The following year, I took it again and received the highest score in my city. Achieving such an amazing result gave me encouragement and courage necessary to continue my education to the next step.

I am now in my second year of college and know that it is never too late to learn. My passion for studying and improving myself will never come to a halt as long as I continue to live.

“Live and Learn.” is the motto I have adopted. I believe with an education I will succeed. So, if you are wondering whether education is important, don’t hesitate a moment to step up and seize the opportunity.

Any development in science and technology throughout the world is due to the development of education which brings up scientists and inventors. It is difficult to emphasize just how important the role of education is. There is no doubt that countries with undeveloped education will remain poor.

Education is also vital to the development of an individual. Of all elements of success in our careers none is more important than education. It is not genius but the knowledge that makes the difference between success and failure. In fact most of the famous people of our times spent many years studying. Can you name any great men you admire who are not well educated ?

Some people, however, are still ignorant of the importance of education. Some parents, especially those in the countryside, think it unnecessary to send their children to school. Some parents have their children work for money at a very young age. In view of this, compulsory education must be enforced to see to it that every young people will be have the chance to receive adequate education.
