Today my topic is "The Famous London Eye". The London Eye is also known as the "Millennium Wheel". It was built to commemorate the year 2000. Now it has become one of the most famous places for tourism in London. It's located by the Thames River. It is the third largest ferries wheel in the world. If you go on the wheel, you may feel excited and a little scared too. Each cabin can contain about 15 people. There are thirty-two cabins on the wheel. Every cabin is air-conditioned. I think they must be pretty comfortable. The height of the London Eye is 135 meters, and the speed of its rotation is 0.26 meters per second. It takes thirty minutes to finish one revolution. That’s a long time, but you can enjoy the beautiful view of London.
The designer of this project is David Marx. I think he is a great and smart person. I want to be a building designer too. I will study hard and try to make my dream come true! Before that, I would like to travel all over the world and try to enjoy different kinds of buildings and views!

My name is Angel; I am from class 1, grade 5. Today I’m going to talk about low carbon lifestyle. What is low carbon life?
Low carbon life is to reduce carbon in the air. We know that when we burn something to make electricity, we make the air dirty and increase the carbon dioxide; when we drive cars, the carbon dioxide is also increased.
Because of the high-consumption and high-pollution economy, the population increases quickly and the global climate changes repeatedly. The resources that people rely on to survive become less and less. Those are having a bad effect on our health, making us unhealthy. Therefore, low carbon life is important to us.
As a student, we should develop good habits in our daily lives. We can select products with longer shift life when we shop. This can reduce waste and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Paper cups are made from cutting forests. We should try not to use them, or select the smaller ones when we do because trees can absorb carbon dioxide and reduce greenhouse gas. We should use efficient light bulbs and the lights should be turned off when not needed.We should not waste food, so that the machines do not need to produce more. In this way, energy and electricity can be saved.
In the future, we will study harder to find new and better ways to have a low carbon lifestyle, so everybody will live a wonderful low carbon life.

Huamei School is a international school. So today I want to talk about some differences between east and west. What are the major differences between Chinese and western ?I wonder how many things do we know about the difference between west and east? Although I can’t tell you exactly , I want to talk about it in the following three parts. They are food, dressing and living styles.
First, food. In China, we prefer noodles, rice , as the main course. We like cooking a lot of delicious dishes, We sit together, and taste the dishes together, , when we eating ,we like chatting and laughing, But in England or other west countries, people like eating hamburgers, chips, pizza, pasta as their main course, they eat them with vegetable salad
Second, dressing. In China, we prefer colorful clothes, we dress them in different place, but we don’t make up; But in west countries, people dress according their visiting places, in daily times, they often wear casual clothes, but if they go to a formal places , they often wear suits, ladies wearing beautiful dresses, pretty hats. No matter how old the ladies are, they always make up.
Third, living styles. Chinese prefer getting up early and go to bed early too. Children often go to different spare schools to study. They seldom go to work during the weekend.
That’s the differences I know. I And I believe that “East or west , home is best”.

I am happy to be here. Today, I am speaking here on behalf of our friends, who also live in this planet——the animals.
Maybe in the most people’s eyes, animals have no feeling, no thoughts, and no emotions. Therefore, they mistreat them, kill them and eat them. It is time to protect these animals.
Many animals in the world are in danger of dying out. This is because people are destroying their homes. When this happens, the animals cannot find enough food. For example, people use bamboo from bamboo forest for building. Pandas eat bamboo. Therefore they no longer have enough food to eat. Sea turtles , Asian elephants, tigers are in danger too. People hunt them for their body parts.
Can you feel the pain of a mother elephants whose babies were killed by a hunter? Can you feel the fear of those homeless wild animals? Of course your answer is no, because you are not them. But that does not mean the animals can not feel them. They have thoughts, emotions as well as human beings.
Do you enjoy seeing different kinds of animals? We need to protect them and their homes so that our children can still see them in the future.
So show respect for the animals. Treat your pets well. Do not buy tusk and eat less meat and seafood. Do not pollute the environment so they have home to live. They will thank you. 、Many people will thank you too.

Huamei is the garden as well as a school we live and study in. It has more green trees than the classrooms. When you come into our school，you can see two tall buildings.In the buildings there are two computer rooms，an art room，a music room a library and many classrooms. I like to go to the library，because I like reading books.My teachers often tell us:“Reading is good for you.”Near the buildings there is a big playground.We can play football，basketball and games on it.
My school is far away from the city, the air here is fresh and bright, we have some special activates except the normal classes. Every Monday and Wednesday’s afternoon, we join our favorite clubs ,there are Sports Club, Music Club, Art Club, Writing Club and so on. It is important for us to join some clubs, because we can have fun and learn something new about other things.
The students come from different country. We study and play together. We get up early to do exercise in the morning ,when you come to our school very early, you can see many lovely children are doing the morning exercise, they run after each other, they jump to the trees, sit on the 3 elephants, play with their dear teachers, it is very peaceful.
The teachers here are kind and nice. They are not only our teachers but also our friends. My school is wonderful, I want to grow up at my school.
Let's talk about our school's cleanliness. I think we still have a lot to do with it. First, we should clean the whole school at least txice a day. Second, I know many students like eating lunch in the playground so that they can have more time to play basketball or play football. I think it is really a bad habit. We should protect our school's cleanliness, not destory! In some ways, our shcool is not very clean. But it is much better now than before. I hope our school will be much cleaner. That's all.
