Hello everybody! My name is Chen Xuanlin. It is my pleasure to be here to share my opinions of growing pains.
Grow up, like a boat in my life, driving the wave surface. Sometimes, be in calm, sometimes be in rough. But the boat I was growing up, not everything is going. For me, sour, sweet, bitter,ho t,everything .
Now, as I grow up, are becoming adults, so in the eyes of parents, I was no longer to be a kid. Sometimes, they say "you've grown up,not a children!" When I listen to this,my head will be pain.
When I was a little boy, my life is so relaxed. But now, in front of the waves are bigger, and more twists and turns the sea,I become a middle school student, that I have all gone past. I'm taller, homework more, study more subjects, have more test. When I was a boy, I am wrong no matter what happened, no one to blame me.But now,if I do something wrong,my parents will shout. The relaxe time will far away from me.I will be more busy.
Study pressure always troubling me. Grown up, more work gradually like hills. After school, I do not dare to play, to see their favorite book, I'm afraid I can't complete the work, I can only try very hard to make the pen in my book on wave, for example, I have to run on the way home. The course also gradually heavy. Every home in the evening review, I looked at a lot of books, I really do not know to study what subject, is Chinese? Or math? Or geography? Or……

Good morning! Ladies and Gentlemen,Today, I'm so glad to come here. It's my honor to give the speech. I'm He Tingting, coming from A'Ba Tibet and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. As a Qiang girl. I welcome you to our hometown. Now I'll talk about my dream.
My hometown is a remote, lonely village, with verdant mountains and clean streams, full of fresh air… The sur-roundings is quiet and graceful. What a wonderful sight! But I'm sorry to say it's so poor, so backward. One day in a late autumn, my parents and I went back there together, in order to call on my grandfather being ill. Getting off the bus, slowly we walked hard towards my hometown along a narrow winding path. Suddenly, the hap-py laughter of children interested me. I looked around, and caught sight of some children playing, aged 8-9. It seemed they were free from care. I went up to them, and
asked, " Why aren't you at school now? Are you on leave?" One boy stood up and said sadly, " We don't have any teachers, No teachers teach us. Two years ago, we had a teacher from a city. But only two weeks later he went away. From then on, no teacher comes here any more. Also we have no school to attend here."
"Why don't you go to the city to study?" I asked. "My parents are both farmers, we haven't enough money." He stopped for a moment, and then continued, "We really hope for school." After hearing that, I couldn't say a word with a heavy heart.
Later, I thought it over for a long time. That's the children's fault? No. That's their parents' fault with no money? No. But I don’t really understand why.
If they could be at school like me. How wonderful it is. However, in fact they couldn’t be. What can I do for them?
Facing the children unable to go to school;
Facing the poverty of minority nationality regions;
Facing all these facts, suddenly, a bright idea struck me. From that moment, I have a dream, a splendid dream!
I dream, one day, I will be able to be a teacher and return to my hometown. I'll try my best to let the children in-to the school, into the classroom. I'll teach them to read and teach them to write, with my patience, with my love, hon-estly. I'll turn them into the persons with a lot of knowledge.
I dream, one day, I can set up a school for children by myself;let these children enter the school. Of cause I'll hope to set up schools as many as I can, to let all the children enter the school.
Also, I dream, one day, the students I teach will graduate from universities and take heavy responsibilities of building our hometown, building our motherland.
I dream, one day, all these will come true. And my hometown will become richer and richer, more and more beautiful.
That's my dream. I'u return to my mother school with my faith. Having this belief, I'u value the time, every hour, every minute, every second. I'll study each lesson well, and lay the foundation,in order to realize the hope of children's attending school, seeking for knowledge.
Having this belief, I'u break up a new path to achieve the goal.
Having this belief, I'l1 have enough courage to change all the bad situation.
I believe that my dream will turn into reality.
As you all know, some years ago, we had a Hope Project, a lot of children have already returned to the school grounds.
We all know, our government decides to develop the western area.
Our ent decides to develop areas in-habited by the minority nationalities. Especially, Our government decides to develop the education.
And I know, a lot of people in and out of our prefecture are working hard at it. Everyone is trying to contrib

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Today I would like to begin with a story.
Yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called Gorillas in the Mist, based on a true story of Mrs. Dian Fossey, who spent most of bet lifetime in Rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.
To me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a 6) timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our ecoenvironment.
All these 7) appalling(令人震惊的) facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been 8) eroding(侵蚀) our resources. Encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the United Nations has made 2002 the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment.
Now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations an: receiving donations--big notes, small notes or even coins--from housewives, 9) plumbers(水管工人), ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and 10) invalids(残疾人), Some of them can not afford to send the money but they do. These are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood. Why? Because they care. Because they still want their Mother Nature back. Because they know it still belongs to them.
This kind of feeling that I have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it, it's all coming from a scene to remember, a scene to recall and to cherish.
The other night, as l saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs. I found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to some- thing else, someplace else. a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seem to have been except the deer.
And all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it's lime for us to do something, for our own and our coming generation.
Once again, I have come to think of Mrs. Dian Fossey be- cause it's with her spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of our ecoenvironment that we are taking our next step into the world.
And no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our mind, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I’d like to share my teaching dream with you. But before that, I want to say something about the beginning of this dream. In March this year, three teachers from Australia came to our school. During the meeting, we exchanged a lot about education. I found that though we have almost the same teaching philosophy, we have different routines. What impressed me most was that their schools end at 3:00 in the afternoon and have no night classes. I can’t tell which kind of routine is better, but the sharp contrast made me think about a better education. The following is a dreamy school in my mind, in which there is no pressure but pleasure.
In this school, the buildings are well designed, close to nature. In the morning, children can read while enjoying the beautiful sunrise. In the evening, they can exercise by the lake reflecting the amazing sunset. In the spring, they can go to the wild, lie on the lawn, and watch the kite flying in the blue sky. In the summer, they can go to the forest, live in a cabin, and listen to the rhythm of the rain. …
Students are free but polite and they respect each other. They can leave at 4:00 every afternoon, or perhaps earlier. They have the freedom to organize time. They can go to the library, go to the lab, the computer rooms or the playground. They’re self-motivated and have a strong thirst for knowledge. And there are no frequent exams and rankings. Students won’t be forced to wear uniforms everyday, and there is no required hair style. Everyday is so colorful that they are looking forward to the next day when going to bed at night,
Every teacher in this school can give a course as they like. There is no tedious rating, no scraps of quantitative management and no rigid standard. Teachers can fully display their personality in class, and they feel very happy and content to teach. Every morning, on thoughts of giving lessons, they are excited. After class, they are delighted , with smiles on their faces. Some experts, scholars and masters are also visiting teachers in this school.Yang Zhenning can give physics classes for a day. Yi Zhongtian opens lectures on Chinese culture for a week. Speaking of music, we can ask Wang Lihong to give music lectures, just as he did in Oxford University. If necessary, we can also invite David Beckham to speak something about the World Cup …
The principal of the school focuses on education rather than waste time in endless meetings and social activities. Teachers’ wages are not high but enough to live comfortably. There are no other things to do except to teach. There are no paper requirements, no titles and no ranks because they don’t need to be judged by those things. Almost every teacher is a well-known scholar and master in a particular field. A language teacher may be a writer at the same time. A math teacher may try to overcome a world-class guess. A physics teacher can win invention awards and a music teacher may return from an International music competition again.
In short, in this school, the principal is satisfied, the teachers are happy and the students are joyful. That’s my dream.

Good morning, everyone:
My name is ———, a lovely boy of thirteen. I’m very glad to stand here and share my dream with you.
Different people have different dreams. Some people dream of being rich or famous and others dream of staying young for long. I also have a lot of dreams. But my dream is to become a lawyer(律师).
If I were a lawyer in the future, I would serve our country first because from TV, I learn the Japanese seize our country’s islands. I can’t stand(容忍) it when they even say these islands are theirs. So, I feel strongly that I must study hard and get back Diaoyu islands by law when I grow up.
If I were a lawyer in the future, I would serve people heart and soul. I would offer free help for people in need.
If I were a lawyer in the future, I would let people live a happier life. Of course, I know it’s difficult for me to achieve my dream now, but I’ll make it by my hard working. Come on. Just do it!
