Mr. Knight is the manager (经理)of a hotel (旅馆). One weekend all of the hotels in the city are full because there is a large meeting. On Friday night, three men come into the hotel and ask for rooms. Mr. Knight says there are no rooms ready because of the meeting. The men are unhappy.

初一英语学习方法

第一，有一定的“语感”是必要的。

其实很多学生都是这样，分数不高也不低，但是问起来什么都不会。这是没有一个知识框架的原因，没有有条理地系统地学习，做题只是靠的“语感”。像这样有一定的“语感”，对往后整个初中高中的语言学习是有一定的促进作用的。考试会越来越难，越来越活，不是每个语法或者任何东西都是你学过或见过的，那么这个时候你要根据你学的去理解做题，语感好的往往能在单选，阅读等地方有突破(有时你问他为什么选这项而且选对了，他也说不出来，就是一个感觉)，这就是语感的好处，虽然它是考试，但毕竟它还是一门语言，一门人类不断发展修正后的语言，它还是有规律可寻的。

第二，学习方法十分重要。

有的同学每次考试都考得很好，其实是他英语学得比较系统，这就是为什么有的人考试会又快又准了。打个比方，你挑个词问他什么用法，什么意思或者造句之类，他肯定能说得很清晰，很有条理，那么这样，在考试的时候他就能很快的看出考点是什么，最快的选择最正确的一项，这就造成了所谓的 “不检查”。其实完全不检查是不可能的，但是换个方面假设一下，如果你觉得自己都很懂，题目很简单，你对你做的完全有把握，那还需要检查吗?!这就是学习方法的重要性，他能让你做题又快又准，具体的学习建议在后面会提到。

第三，多记多背必不可少。

初一学的英语都是为将来打基础的，只有在下层建筑打好的情况下，上层建筑才能建好。所以在这个时候，学生应该多记多背，这是一个输入和输出的过程，只有在不断地输入后有一定积累了，才能输出。不要把英语当一门很负重的课，它就是一门语言(这点我反复强调)，想想小学一年级学拼音的时候吧，还不是很难记但是都要记，英语的音标学习也是这样;再想想小学语文课本上是不是每课都有一排生字?老师都要你做什么了?无非不就是注音，解释，造句!其实英语也是这样，一个生单词来了，你首先应该了解怎么读，什么意思，以及它的多个意思，什么时候做名词用，什么时候做动词用，再就是背几个跟她的固定搭配。再推开来，英语句子就是词组成的，篇就是句子组成的，所以整个英语学习就是这样的输入输出。只有这种基础的东西熟练了，才能创造出句子来，才能在阅读中读懂自己从来没见过的句子，才能感觉出你从来没见过的词或句子是想表达一个什么意思。

第四，做题往心里过。

真正系统地学习并不是说每天每种类型的题非要做多少多少，做题是要从心里过的，没从心里过做再多也没用，每次都会觉得“这个我好像做过，只是不记得了”或者“这个词我背过，可是忘了”等等，这样都不行。人类是有遗忘曲线，克服遗忘的有效方法就是过一段时间拿出来温习一遍，把它当做日常的中文去学习去感受。说到这里，不得不提笔记本了，这个很重要。你的输入大部分就是靠这个笔记本了，虽然很多东西当时记明白了，但是绝对还是要把它记下来，以后多看看，至于你当时背不下来的东西几更不用说要写下了。

第五，课外的陶冶。

多看点英语方面的报纸，电影和音乐，这些都是对英语学习很有陶冶作用的。在这些陶冶中，不是光看就完了，一定要有意识地取从中吸取有用的东西。比如要试图多去记记里面常用的有用的东西，短语，常用词，很偏激的东西不要记，这样的陶冶事实上也是一种学习，并且对口语和听力都很有帮助，并不是题海战术才有用的，以后与老外交流，不是看你做卷子的能力，更重要的是你驾驭一门语言的能力。

第六，平时英语学习需要注意的细节：

1.平时不理解的要多问老师，但注意不要钻牛角尖，语言有些东西是约定俗成的，无道理，似有规律又无规律(比如动词的过去分词)。 2.听力完全是多听提高的，打个比方，英语考试的听力有时再努力听也听不懂，但是晨会上老师的演讲，你哪怕是跟同学聊天聊过去了，你也知道老师讲的是什么。因为那是你熟悉的母语，不努力听也懂。那么，就多听英语吧!多听就会多熟悉，单词懂得越多，听不懂的就越少，这是必然的。3.阅读，要讲究速度!考试的阅读并不是每句都看的，文章很长，有的要粗看或者不看，有的要细品的。所以在每次阅读时一定要把握重点，把握时间。
