　　Nowadays, communication problems exist in many families.

　　The chief causes of such problems are the lack of time and the shyness in expressing their love openly. Family members spending time on the Internet also plays a role in the lack of face-to-face communication inside the family.

　　Both parents and children are burdened with heavy loads of wok or study and kept busy working hard all day, after which they often don’t feel like talking.

　　The Chinese are brought up in a culture where it’s not so common to express their love for each other openly.

　　In many families, parents care too much about their children, who tend to take for granted everything their parents do for them, seldom saying thanks or love.

　　Some parents don’t communicate with their children because they don’t relate to them / because they know little about their worries and problems.

　　Families can arrange some activities on weekends, during which time they could likely settle problems through casual talks.

　　Since parents usually have too much to do and little time is allowed for them to talk to children, the latter could find time to share in the housework, which is not only a proper gesture to show love for their parents, but also a good time to talk to each other while working together.
