BoBo go for Glory
THINGS are changing quickly for the pop band BoBo. They were formed during the My Hero (《加油!好男儿》) show in the summer. The pair Fu Xinbo, 20 and Jing Boran, 18, survived the intense (紧张的) competition to make it to the top. Now they have big ambitions (志向) for their music careers.
They have just released their first EP (密纹唱片), Glory (《光荣》) and a book about their lives, Memory, Dream, Pride (《双城记忆》).
"We named our first song Glory because we fight hard to prove our worth," Jing said.
Fu and Jing were living different lives before the competition. Jing was just his grandma's naughty boy. Fu was just a quiet boy growing up in Xi'an.
When they first met each other, they did not get on. They misunderstood the other one as being "proud". However, they soon discovered they shared a passion (热情) for singing and acting. And were "frank (坦诚的) and true about their feelings".
"I appreciate Jing's gratitude (感恩) and patience (耐心) with his grandma," Fu said after an iFensi.com fans event. "While he admires my independence and strong will."
Although they are good-looking, BoBo are eager to prove their ability is the key to their success rather than their appearance.
"I hope to become an all-around (全面的) artist like Leehong Wang. I want to be able to write lyrics, compose (写) songs and play all kinds of instruments," Jing said.
The two boys are working hard to make it happen.
Although they have to leave school for a while, they haven't given up studying. "I would try to catch one or two English expressions every time we see a film or listen to a song," Fu said.

Joey makes a burger blast
HOW many hamburgers can you eat for lunch? For most of us, one is enough and two at most.
But American Joey Chestnut swallowed 103 hamburgers in eight minutes on October 28 in the US. He won the World Hamburger Eating Championship and set a new record. Japan's Takeru Kobayashi held the previous (之前的) record of 97.
Chestnut, 23, was given $10,000 as prize money. "I'm tired. All I want to do is take a nap (打盹) and digest (消化) this food," he said.
